kaaiii-aah-ya!

I was walking west on 26th past a playground this morning. The kids, tiny ones, were all chanting something but they're so young that I couldn't decipher what it was. But it was contagious to be sure. You saw the loners being drawn in by the wild call.
The collectively sounded some sort of water-related bird. Not sure if that would be fresh, sea or brackish...
